What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data Hanime collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and who we share it with. It applies to this website only. Videos are served by third-party services governed by their own policies.

Data we collect

Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and a password hash. We never store your password in readable form.

Membership and payment data. If you subscribe, we store the plan you bought, the amount, the currency, an order number, the payment channel and whether the order was paid. We do not receive or store your card number, bank details or cryptocurrency wallet keys. Payment is handled entirely by the payment provider you choose at checkout.

Usage data. We record which series you mark as a favourite, how many times a series page is viewed, and when you signed in. We may record the IP address and time of security-relevant events, such as failed sign-in attempts, to detect abuse.

Technical data. Our server logs and our infrastructure provider may record your IP address, browser type and requested page for security, diagnostics and rate limiting.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work:

• a session cookie that keeps you signed in;
• an age-verification cookie that remembers you confirmed you are an adult;
• a theme cookie that remembers your light or dark preference.

Blocking these cookies will break sign-in, age verification or theme selection. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you, and we do not sell your personal data.

Why we process your data

We process your data to provide the service you asked for (creating an account, granting Premium, showing your favourites), to secure the service (preventing abuse, fraud and attacks), to meet legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records for payments), and for our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site.

Sharing

We share data only where necessary:

• Payment providers receive the data needed to process your payment and notify us of the result.
• Email providers process the address used to send verification and password-reset messages.
• Advertising partners may receive technical data when ads are displayed to non-subscribers. Premium members are not shown ads.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf to run the service.
• Authorities may receive data where we are legally required to disclose it.

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Security logs and rate-limit counters are kept for a limited period and then deleted. You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Children

This site is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 (or the age of majority where you live). If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on contractual safeguards for those transfers.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
